There is something very magical about flying over Los Angeles at night. With so many colorful lights, it's hard not to fly around and explore. This first picture and gallery are of night operations at the Port of Los Angeles. The next picture is looking at the activity at LAX and the gallery has other nighttime city pictures..

Los Angeles Dodgers have Magic!!!

Yesterday was opening day for the Dodgers, which was on the 50th Anniversary of Major League Baseball being played at Dodger Stadium. With new owners for the Dodgers, including Magic Johnson, this should be an exciting season. Here is an aerial view of 2 F-18 flying over just after the National Anthem performed by the Beach Boys.

Aerial View of the Coronado Bridge in San Diego, California

Academy Awards Aerial Views

Today is the 84th Academy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Red Carpet is covering all of Hollywood Blvd to Highland Ave, where both streets have been shut down for about a week in preparation for this event. Here is what it looks like from above.

Oakland California

I was up in the San Francisco Bay area recently and flew over the City of Oakland. It is a major port on the East Bay just across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. Here is a picture of Lake Merritt which is a wildlife refuge estuary just east of downtown Oakland. The next picture is looking out across the bay to San Francisco, with the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge. What a beautiful area!!!

Aerial views of the Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena

I was up flying yesterday to shoot the Rose Bowl Game. Oregon beat Wisconsin in a high scoring game. The B-2 Stealth Bomber did the flyby at the start of the game. It was a beautiful and warm day. Not a bad way to start the New Year!! Here is a picture of the B2 flying over the Rose Bowl Stadium

Aerial Views of Christmas Day in Los Angeles

I decided to fly on Christmas Day to photograph how people celebrate. I got some great aerial photos around LA, including going to Universal Studios, the Santa Monica Pier, Venice beach and Disneyland, just to name a few. It was an beautiful day for a flight and a wonderful experience to see all the activities people are able to do on Christmas in Southern California.

Unique aerial views from the Port of Los Angeles

As I fly around I'm always looking for unusual and interesting views. Here in the back bay of the Port of Los Angeles I came across some huge buoys and other equipment used to secure ships. Colors and patterns make this a fun photograph.
