San Day Bay National Wildlife Refuge

On one my my recent flights to San Diego, I noticed some very bright colors near Chula Vista, just south of Downtown San Diego. They come from the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, which includes a variety of wildlife sanctuaries - from sweetwater marshes to vernal pools and even sea turtle lagoons - to preserve and protect the rare birds and sea life of Southern California's coastal marshes.
