Ancient Art in a Modern City
Flying up the coast on a clear day, it is easy to see why Malibu and Pacific Palisades have a reputation for being picturesque. The Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades is a very pretty museum from the air. It is home to many pieces of art from ancient Greece, Rome and Etruria. Malibu is a little more contemporary, being famous for its warm, sandy beaches and the Malibu Colony, home to many celebrities, entertainment executives and tech titans.
