Huntington Beach Pier

with a Southern Swell

Posted on October 22, 2010

Huntington Beach, also known as Surf City USA, has one of the longest piers on the West Coast. The area around this pier is known for great surfing as well as beach volleyball. Major tournaments in both these sports are held here every year. The Huntington Pier has been destroyed 4 times, with the first time in 1912 and the last time in 1988. It is in the US National Registry of Historic Places. This picture is showing a large south swell during our recent storms.
