Operating 24/7 at the Port of LA

President Orders the Port of LA to 24-Hour Operations to Clear Backlog of Cargo Ships

Over the past year and a half I've noticed more and more cargo ships piling up in the waters off the coast of Long Beach and San Pedro, waiting their turn to offload their cargo at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, the US's #1 and #2 largest ports, respectively. President Biden took decisive action recently and ordered the Port of Los Angeles, in addition to other backlogged ports around the country, to work round-the-clock to clear the backlog of containers that are leading to shortages throughout the country and increasing prices.

With over 70 ships off the coast the last time I flew, the backlog is substantial and hopefully these measures will help to slowly cut down the number of ships waiting off the coast.
